Trauma Studies
The AAST-MITC supports the national trauma research agenda created by the Coalition for National Trauma Research (CNTR) that establishes priorities in injury research (see JTACS article).  The AAST-MITC encourages proposals addressing the following Clinical/Translation research topics:
 
  • Resuscitation Strategies
  • Endovascular Hemorrhage Control
  • Coagulation/Coagulopathy
  • Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Prophylaxis
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Elderly Trauma
  • Pre-hospital Interventions and Data Collection
  • Risk Modeling
  • Wound Healing
  • Pain Control

Emergency General Surgery Studies

The AAST-MITC is currently requesting proposals for quality multi-center clinical studies in the operative and/or non-operative methods.
