Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Steering Committee of the Society of Acute Care Surgery Chiefs (SACSC), we are honored to welcome you to the 3rd Annual Symposium. This year marks another milestone as we continue to grow and strengthen our community under the umbrella of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST). SACSC was founded with the purpose of: providing a collaborative space for acute care surgery division chiefs to share knowledge, navigate leadership challenges, and shape the future of our field. As leaders, we face complex decisions daily—from managing teams and mentoring the next generation to engaging with hospital leadership and driving program innovation.
This Society exists to support and empower you in these challenges, offering a forum to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and collectively advance acute care surgery. This symposium is more than just a meeting—it is an opportunity to foster relationships, strengthen leadership, and work toward a shared vision of excellence. We encourage open dialogue, fresh perspectives, and the exploration of innovative solutions that will elevate not only our institutions but the entire field of acute care surgery. Thank you for being part of this dynamic and growing community. Your dedication, insights, and leadership make a difference, and we look forward to meaningful discussions, collaboration, and progress together.
