The World Coalition for Trauma Care (WCTC) is an international alliance of trauma societies dedicated to advancing injury care worldwide. Established in 2012, the coalition works to raise global awareness of trauma as a major public health concern, expand access to trauma education, support the development of trauma systems, and sustain the biennial World Trauma Congress. The American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) is an active member of the WCTC, collaborating with partners across the globe to strengthen research, education, and systems of care that improve outcomes for injured patients.
