The fellow should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the different etiologies of hepatic abscesses
- Demonstrate an understanding of the evaluation of a patient with a hepatic abscess
- Describe the treatment options for hepatic abscesses including indications for IR and surgery
- Describe the surgical technique for hepatic abscesses including open and minimally invasive techniques
- Understand the difference in treatment of hydatid abscesses and describe management techniques
