A major national healthcare imperative for noninvasive imaging is for the tests that are used provide value. Nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI studies provide powerful tools for diagnosis, risk assessment, and guiding management of selected patients with known or suspected cardiac disease. In the current environment, imaging must address the combined considerations of improving outcomes and containing costs. To this end, advanced cardiac imaging studies must be ordered on the right patients and optimally performed, interpreted, reported, and acted upon by physicians and allied health professionals. Additionally, effective methods to reduce radiation exposure need to be implemented to maximize patient safety. There is a clear need for physicians ordering, performing and interpreting the tests to understand the issues regarding value-based imaging and to optimally implement this understanding. We meet these educational needs through a live activity entitled: Advances in Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI: 36th Annual Case Review with the Experts. The course is designed to meet the current needs of professionals who perform or request nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT or cardiac MRI studies. The course covers the use of these modalities across the spectrum of patients routinely seen by cardiologists in typical day-to-day practice and is designed to improve ordering patterns and increase quality in performing, interpreting, reporting and applying the advanced imaging methods. Unique program features include: - Case presentations covering common clinical, interpretation, and technical problem - Interactive reading with expert faculty - Emphasis on new clinical applications of each modality - Focus on incorporating new AUC and guidelines in practice - The latest evidence from clinical trials and registry findings.

This year's Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) conference will focus on two themes: basics of developing and running an integrated behavioral health program and low-intensity, high-impact interventions in primary care. Primary care represents the "front entryway" into the healthcare system. Primary care, family medicine, and pediatric teams are tasked with not only caring for the medical needs of their patients but with caring for the mental health needs of their patients as well. Embedding evidence-based mental health interventions within the primary care environment represents a unique opportunity to promote overall health in a less stigmatized environment, with opportunities for earlier intervention and improved outcomes. Considerable variability exists across primary care clinics in terms of populations served, patterns of medical and psychiatric conditions and comorbidities, internal and community-based mental health resources, and barriers to care. Even with minimal resources, strategic investments can be made in designing, implementing, and evaluating integrated programs within primary care. A growing evidence base also exists for brief, single-session mental health interventions that can be delivered right at the point of care. IBH teams of social workers, psychologists, nurses, and psychiatric prescribers all bring a unique skill set that can deliver highly targeted, single-session interventions to help serve the entire primary care population in a resource-efficient manner.

Course format involves engaging lectures, rich with case examples within the context of existing and emerging science. Breakout seminars will be interactive and emphasize collaborative learning. Attendees will be able to engage with faculty and other learners as they share their own integrated behavioral health experiences, challenges, and opportunities.

Live (in-person) and livestream (virtual) available.

Target Audience: This course is designed for the many disciplines and providers involved in primary care integrated behavioral health, including psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, primary care, pharmacists, and pediatrics. The content is relevant to physicians, advanced practice providers, desk staff, and schedulers.

We are heading to another place of excellence, Budapest, capital of Hungary. As a global and multi-cultural hub, Budapest is at the crossroads between East and West, and as such, excellently placed for a bridging role in Europe. Indeed, in these complex geopolitical times, the importance of joining together, crossing borders, and overcoming differences is more crucial than ever.

Within this context, the motto of our congress is timely:
    Mental Health: Open and Inclusive!

It highlights three core aspects of modern psychiatry:

Mental health as a broad dimension from mental health prevention and resilience building to the treatment of specific disorders.
Open refers not only to our fundamental human rights but also to open mindedness and curiosity for novel approaches and ideas.
Inclusive implies welcoming and respecting differences between people.

Get ready for an extraordinary journey into the world of paediatrics! EAPS 2024, the 10th Congress of the European Academy of Paediatric Societies, is back and it's going to be truly remarkable.

Organized by the two leading European societies: the European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP), and the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR) - this biannual event is the ultimate hub of innovation and knowledge. We're bringing together the brightest minds in paediatrics, creating a powerful platform for education and groundbreaking research.

At EAPS 2024, we're not just keeping up, we're setting the pace. Our focus is on cutting-edge science, from genomics to gene therapy, and even harnessing the power of machine learning to decode the vast realms of pediatric data. The aim? To find answers that directly impact the lives of children across Europe and beyond.

We're not just hosting a Congress; we're fostering a global community. EAPS 2024 is all about inclusivity, drawing expertise from around the world. We're exploring how scientific advancements can be translated into real clinical care, nurturing today's children into the healthy adults of tomorrow. Plus, our theme this year is inspired by Vienna's rich musical history - we're striving for harmony between cutting-edge research and real-world clinical practice.

One of the highlights of the Congress are the free scientific papers, presenting fresh insights from emerging paediatric stars. These papers fuel spirited debates, spark meaningful conversations, and ignite collaborations that will shape the future of our field. What's more, every accepted abstract gets the chance to shine in a peer-reviewed paediatric journal.

But EAPS 2024 isn't just about science; it's about connections. It's the perfect platform to strengthen existing relationships, forge new ones, and create lifelong personal and professional bonds. And don't forget our exciting social and musical programme - because learning should also be fun!

The Congress Venue is the Austria Centre in Vienna, a truly exciting city that has numerous facets to explore and enjoy. Please take some relaxing time to find the balance between learning and well-being.

Mark your calendars for EAPS in Vienna, 17-20 October 2024.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all there.
