AAST is announcing the call for applications for the 2026 to 2027 Robotic Training program for Acute Care Surgery fellows (ROBO-TRACS). This program will be in partnership with Intuitive Surgical, Inc. The 8-month program will include a monthly live webinar series led by national leaders in ACS robotics, robotic simulation exercises, and funding to attend a live hands-on ACS robotics course at an Intuitive training facility. NEW this year is a dedicated attending positions for participation with their own dedicated hand's on day.
Requirements:
A maximum of 36 fellow participants and 18 attending participants will be selected. Applicants should be either current fellows in either a one or two year fellowship program in surgical critical care, trauma, and/or acute care surgery, or attending surgeons with limited or no experience in robotic surgery.
The application will close on Friday, October 23, 2026. Notification of acceptance will occur 1-2 weeks after the close of applications.
