Our annual spring meeting will acknowledge a history of excellence and welcome a future of inclusivity as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the original American Society of Regional Anesthesia in 1923 and celebrate the benefits of embracing diversity of gender, racial, ethnicity, and LGBTQIA+ health equity. The program will weave in point-of-care ultrasound, pediatrics, and obstetrics as well.
Refresher courses and parallel sessions will cover topics such as mental health and burnout, safety, core review of blocks with interactive scanning demos, guideline updates, transitional pain services, sustainability, basic science research, practice management, and advocacy. Interaction sessions include truncal blocks, evolution of blocks from paresthesia to fascial plane blocks, and emergency medicine collaboration.
Hands-on workshops allow you to practice your skills on models and cadavers with a focus on knees, hips, abdominal, chest wall, ankle, spine surgery and more. Check out our first-ever fluoroscopy workshop addressing thoracic and lumbar epidural placement, a demonstration workshop on ultrasound-guided cryoneurolysis, sessions on complementary medicine, and workshops featuring Spanish-speaking faculty.
Problem-based learning discussions allow you to speak to an expert and your colleagues about hot topics like post-dural puncture headache, pain and substance use disorder, virtual reality and acute pain management, regional anesthesia in trauma, post-surgical nerve injuries and more.
Special events feature plenty of networking opportunities, a celebration of the organization's history, and this year's Gaston Labat Awardee, Dr. Santhanam Suresh. This event is not to be missed. Register today!
