Description: |
The Fellowship is a two year program with the first year being an ACGME approved (for 2 positions) SCC year followed by a one year ACS fellowship year that is currently in the process of submission of data and PIF for program approval by the AAST Fellowship Committee. The first ACS fellow has been accepted to begin the program in July 2013. The program is assocoated with the region's only Level I Trauma Center with nearly 2000 admissions/year, the regional Burn Center, an active Heart and Vascular Center, an active Neurosciences Program and a newly developed Acute Care Surgery program within the Spectrum Health Medical Group, the regions largest provider group. The residency and training programs are affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in West Michigan. |
