The State University of New York at SUNY Stony Brook has an open position for a Surgical Critical Care Fellow for 2008-2009.
SUNY Stony Brook Surgical Critical Care Program is accepting applications for 2008-2009. This is a one-year ACGME fully accredited Critical Care Fellowship which accepts two fellows annually, based at SUNY Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York. SUNY Stony Brook Medical Center is a 515 bed hospital and a level one Trauma Center for Suffolk County, Long Island admitting over 1600 injured patients per year with a high percentage of those patients critical. In addition, there are critically ill patients from all disciplines such as Neurosurgery, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, OB/GYN, etc. residing in a closed multidisciplinary SICU. There are seven Board Certified or board admissible surgical and anesthesiologist intensivists rounding in the SICU. Applicants must be Board admissible in surgery and able to qualify for a New York Medical License. Salary and benefits are competitive.
