Description: |
The primary goal of the Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Fellowship program is to train expert surgical clinicians who are capable of independently managing patients who present with traumatic injury, acute general surgical problems, and who require Intensive Care Unit management. Our mission is to train the next generation of surgical clinicians, researchers and educators who will materially participate in the evolving discipline of Acute Care Surgery. The ACS Fellowship is approved for 2 positions for each year of the two year program. The ACS Fellowship consists of 12 months of Surgical Critical Care and 12 months of Emergency Surgery, and Trauma Surgery, as well as rotations through the Vascular, Thoracic, Transplant, Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic services.
• The fellows will manage patients and perform surgery under the direct supervision of Attending Surgeons. The fellows will be expected to provide in-depth cognitive and technical teaching to residents and occasionally medical students. Learn more about the Acute Care Surgery Fellowship |
