- Understand indications and treatment of pyloric stenosis
- Understand the treatment options for treatment of intussusception

Emergency General Surgery During Pregnancy
The fellow should be able to:

- Demonstrate an understanding of the treatment of umbilical/ventral hernias during pregnancy
- Describe changes to operative approach necessary during surgery in the pregnant patient
Emergency General Surgery in the Older Adult Patient
The fellow should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the unique physiology of the elderly patient
- Demonstrate an understanding of consequences of age on outcome in emergency surgery
- Recognize the importance of prognostication and risk assessment in emergency general surgery
- Understand the indications for palliative care evaluation in emergency surgery in the elderly
