A one day course consisting of lectures and interactive scenarios that covers methods, preparedness, and medical management of trauma patients in mass casualty disaster situations. Health care providers will learn incident command terminology, principles of disaster triage, injury patterns, and availability of assets for support.
This course is designed for surgeons, anesthesiologists, emergency medicine physicians; emergency room, operating room, intensive care unit, and trauma nurses; prehospital professionals; other health care providers including administrators, public health personnel, and emergency managers.
