AAST Annual Meeting Scholarships Open Now!
AAST's Annual Meeting scholarships are live for the 80th Annual Meeting of AAST & Clinical Congress of Acute Care Surgery! Applications must be filled out electronically by June 1, 2021.
Annual meeting scholarships are available for medical students, residents, and in-training fellows. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage young investigators to become a part of the AAST community, network with leading trauma surgeons, and engage in the cutting-edge program at the Annual Meeting.

Call for Volunteers for a Committee
If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please fill out the volunteer form.
Committee members are expected to participate in committee activities, this includes conference calls, meetings held during the Annual Meeting, projects, and other assigned tasks to complete the goals and objectives of the committee. Committee members who do not participate may be replaced.
Committee requests should be sent by August 1 each year as committee appointments are announced during the Annual Business Meeting held on Friday afternoon during the Annual Meeting week. Committee requests are ONLY accepted through the Volunteer Form and CV included.
Trauma Awareness Month
May is National Trauma Awareness Month! Our Prevention Committee will be creating content that is focused on trauma prevention and will have a Virtual Grand Round webinar on Wednesday, May 19th on this topic as well. Keep up with the AAST social media platforms for their content, videos and webinar for trauma prevention.

Scholarship Award Winners
This year, the AAST Scholarship, Awards, and Development Committee received twelve excellent submissions for the three scholarships. The committee narrowed down these applications and interviewed seven outstanding candidates. After much deliberation, the following three applicants were awarded the 2021 AAST scholarships.
