• Drs. Therese M. Duane and David A. Spain were both elected to serve one-year terms on the American College of Surgeons Board of Governors Executive Committee.

• Dr. Adil Haider was elected to the position of President-Elect of the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS)  at the Academic Surgical Congress in Las Vegas in February 2017 and will be installed as the AAS’s 51st President at the next Academic Surgical Congress in Jacksonville, Fl in February 2018.  

• Dr. Marc de Moya moved from Boston to Milwaukee to become the new Chief of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery Division at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Trauma Center.

• Dr. D'Andrea Joseph has moved to the NYU-Winthrop University Hospital to become the new Chief of Trauma/Critical Care and Emergency General Surgery
• She will be overseeing this ACS verified Level 1 hospital trauma service, setting guidelines and protocols while building the service; director of the SICU and establishing policies and metric standards; coverage of the emergency general surgery: development of the true ACS model.
