AAST has active surveys available year-round on one site for your convenience and participation. Active surveys include AAST-sponsored surveys (those created by AAST) and AAST-approved surveys (surveys created outside of AAST) requested by you, our members, and the AAST committees. All current surveys can be found here along with an updated survey policy and request form.

AAST is hosting its first ever Experience AAST auction! At the 78th Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas, AAST will offer numerous silent auction items that attendees can bid on during the meeting. Experience AAST will close with an exciting and fast-paced live auction, which will take place during the Annual Banquet on Friday, September 20, 2019. This will be an event you won’t want to miss!

Registration is now open for the 78th Annual Meeting of AAST. This year’s program consists of 66 Oral papers, 26 quick shot presentations, 140 electronic poster presentations, 6 Lunch Sessions, 6 Sunrise Sessions, and 4 Pre-meeting Sessions
Featured Sessions include:
- Presidential Address: Martin C. Croce, MD
- Fitts Oration: Timothy C. Fabian, MD, A Seussian Tale of a Trauma Time Traveler
- AAST Panel Session: Financing Trauma Care: International Perspectives
- Two Master Surgeon Lectures:
- Gregory J. Jurkovich, MD, Pancreatic Trauma
- Wayne Meredith, MD, TBD
IMPORTANT:
There are a number of changes to the AAST Meeting this year, including:
- Two poster sessions. Each session is 70 posters. Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 pm and Friday from 12:00-1:00 pm
- On Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 pm there will be a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit area
- On Friday, from 1:00-1:45 pm a box lunch will be provided to all registered attendees in the Exhibit area
- The Friday banquet is an additional $50 fee ($25 for students/residents). There is no table sign-up for the banquet.

NEW! AAST/ESTES Emergency Surgery Course
The Emergency Surgery Course (ESC®), a joint collaboration between ESTES and AAST, aims to aid surgeons in non-trauma emergency surgery by providing them the know-how and decision-making skills needed within daily practice. The course consists of theoretical sessions, case scenarios, and state-of-the-art videos. The course is presented/taught in an interactive format from beginning to end.
