    About The Event

    Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) is a cutting-edge procedure being utilized to rapidly diagnose and treat a multitude of musculoskeletal disorders. This comprehensive course will cover the most important practical aspects of MSKUS, including step-by-step instruction for diagnostic ultrasound and guided procedures followed by scanning demonstrations with a patient model where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive immediate feedback from our expert faculty. Learners of all levels will receive training on MSKUS utilization and techniques of the upper and lower extremities as well as indications in pediatrics, physiatry and sport medicine.

    This intensive and highly interactive course is designed to provide you with the necessary training that you can immediately use in your practice.

    Focused didactic lectures about how to scan each joint in detail, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle

    Scanning demonstration sessions to apply the knowledge learned in the lectures to scan the basic views of all joints including shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle joints

    Comprehensive evidence-based, ultrasound- guided procedures and techniques

    Expert-level Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) faculty from multiple specialty practices

    Indications for MSKUS in sports medicine and pediatrics and the relevant nuances in these special populations

    Regenerative medicine and MSKUS indications.

    Practical sessions about coding, billing, credentialing and certification in MSKUS

    Image optimization and identifying the anatomic structures of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle joints

    Evaluation and diagnostic techniques

    Patient and machine positioning

    Probe handling and positioning techniques

    Preparing an accurate and stable ultrasound image

    Techniques for needle visualization

    Utilization of various ultrasound machines

    Certification and credentialing in MSKUS

    NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you have access to an ultrasound machine to follow the steps in these virtual scanning sessions; however, if you don't, you can always go back later and review the videos when you have access to an ultrasound machine.
