Thoracoabdominal and Diaphragm Injury
The fellow should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the unique nature of thoracoabdominal injury
- Describe the evaluation of patients presenting with penetrating thoracoabdominal injury
- Describe the diagnostic approach to blunt and penetrating diaphragm injury including the role of imaging and diagnostic laparoscopy
- Describe the options for repair of the diaphragm including minimally invasive techniques
