- Membership Dues/Journal of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Subscriptions
Invoices for 2018 AAST membership dues and Journal of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery subscriptions have been emailed. Membership dues and Journal subscriptions can be paid online, by logging into the AAST website or over the phone, by calling (312) 202-5553. Please note payment received after December 7, 2017 will experience a delay in receiving the January 2018 JTACS.

- ACS/AAST 2018 Health Policy Scholarship
The American College of Surgeons and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma are offering an annual scholarship to subsidize attendance and participation in the Executive Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University. The course takes place June 3–9, 2018. The award is in the amount of $8,000, to be used toward the cost of tuition, travel, housing, and subsistence during the period of the course. The deadline to apply is February 1, 2018. For more information, visit the AAST website.
The AAST is offering two research scholarships in Trauma Critical Care and one in Emergency General Surgery for the support of post-residency research by surgeons with a major commitment to a career in trauma surgery. - Abstract System for the 77th Annual Meeting
The abstract system for the 77th Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and Clinical Congress of Acute Care Surgery will open on January 1, 2018. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2018. Additional information about the submission process will be posted on the AAST website as it becomes available.

The AAST R&E Fund thanks all of our generous donors! We have raised a total of $34,863 in less than two months, but we still have a long way to go. In order to reach our goal of funding two Research Scholarships, 20 20forTwenty Meeting Scholarships and two new MIT Studies in 2018 we need your help. Below you can see where we are now and what our goals are for 2018. Please consider making a donation to help support the future of our specialty.
